Sandvik has been selected as a member of the prestigious Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI). This means that Sandvik is ranked among the top 10 percent economic, environmental and social performers in its industry globally.

The DJSI was launched in 1999. It assesses the world’s 2,500 largest companies and is one of the most respected independent sustainability ranking indices in the world.

“I am pleased that we are included in the DJSI. It means that we are doing many things right in terms of sustainability and it motivates us even more when it comes to integrating sustainability into our business,” says Christina Båge-Friborg, head of sustainable business.

The DJSI assessment is extensive and includes a detailed analysis on management practices and performance measures within areas such as corporate governance, risk management, anticorruption, innovation, climate change mitigation, sustainable supplier management and labor practices.
