Kelly Tractor Co. has rolled out sales and fleet rentals for its IMT AF300E Tier 4 drill rig throughout the United States and Canada. The rig represents an expansion of the company’s reach in the drilled shaft segment of the foundation drilling market.

“We listened to our customers,” said Bruce Budd, manager of the company’s Crane and Foundation Group. “This rig configuration is exactly what contractors have been asking for.”

The new hydraulic drilling rig, built on a Caterpillar power module with C13 Tier-4 compliant engine, is available in models with either standard mast or LCA configuration. The standard four-element, 46-meter Kelly bar lets the rig muster 228,645 foot-pounds of drilling torque.

This rig continues the collaborative business relationship among foundation drilling equipment leader Kelly Tractor, IMT and Caterpiller.

“Kelly Tractor Co. has been providing exceptional sales and service to the construction industry for more than 80 years,” Budd said. “Being ahead of the crowd and focusing on customer service is a distinct advantage for our customers with IMT machines. The Caterpillar dealer network services the Caterpillar power base, and Kelly professionals maintain the drill portion. This partnership is the strength behind the new design. It reduces downtime and enables us to effectively sell, lease and service a rig anywhere in the U.S. or Canada.”

Kelly Tractor Co., with a headquarters in Miami, serves the equipment needs of a range of construction sectors, including IMT hydraulic rigs for foundation drilling. The company has offered equipment rentals, leasing, sales and service since 1933. For more information about Kelly or the AF300E, visit www.kellytractor.com/foundation-group.
