Kelly Tractor has introduced a redesign of the IMT A125 hydraulic drill rig to the North American market. The rig, built in collaboration with IMT and Caterpillar OEM Solutions Group, is Tier 4 compliant and designed to lay flat for easy transport. 

The Deep Foundations Institute announced recently that the keynote address at this year’s 38th annual Conference on Deep Foundations will be given by Jerry A. DiMaggio, principal at Jerry A. DiMaggio LLC. The conference will be held Sept. 25-28 in Phoenix.

Kelly Tractor has named two new sales representatives: Daniel Cox for the southwestern U.S. and Hawaii, and Matt Morrison as for the northwestern U.S., Alaska and Canada. Both will work for the company’s Crane and Foundation Group.

 Ditch Witch recently released the JT20, which the company calls “the most efficient and productive drill in its horsepower class.” The new horizontal directional drill is a re-engineering of the popular company’s JT2020.

The Port of Miami has been a problem since the Reagan administration, causing traffic snarls and wasted time. Nearly 16,000 vehicles—almost 5,000 of which are semi trucks—travel to and from the port each day.  

The Deep Foundations Institute (DFI) recently announced that the project to reinforce the Wolf Creek Dam foundation in south central Kentucky won the group’s 2013 Outstanding Project Award.
