What is a Good Go-To Drilling Foam Recipe?
On episode 75 of Ask Brock, host Brock Yordy reads from his foam recipe book. What does he recommend for foams and stiff foams?
“It’s all going to come back to water table, how much water we can produce out of the ground,” he says. “That’s going to start diluting your foam rate.”
He adds that he aims to keep air as low as possible (unless you need to increase injection rates to overcome water head). As he’s written before, the goal with foam is to drill deeper boreholes with a smaller compressor.
