Water systems manufacturer Goulds Water Technology has launched a new monitoring device for use in residential well pumps. The new AqWiFi remote monitoring system sends end-users and installers alerts to changes in operating conditions via smartphone, computer, iPad or Android tablet.

“The benefit to remote monitoring is that it provides valuable data to troubleshoot issues and avert downtime,” says Chris Preston, residential water product manager, Xylem AWS. “With AqWiFi specifically, our customers now have greater accessibility, better pump protection and peace of mind.”

The AqWiFi is compatible with the Aquavar SOLO² constant pressure system. Once wired to the SOLO², the AqWiFi transmits system date live to a cloud server where it can be accessed from any Apple or Android mobile device, or desktop computer.

In a release, Goulds says the AqWiFi setup is quick and simple. The device, which requires a Wi-Fi network, is equipped with an LED status light to assure users that the device is connected to the internet and if system data is transferring to a cloud server. It also has a UL type 4-rated enclosure for indoor and outdoor use, faults with date and time stamps, the ability to view up to one year of system history for easy troubleshooting, and the capability to monitor all product installations from a single app.
