Grundfos has launched an extended range of high-efficiency medium-sized SP submersible groundwater pumps. The increase in pump efficiency and improved wear resistance strengthens the reputation the SP pump already has for reliability, system integration and efficiency.

Many of the improvements that can be seen on the new 4-inch SP pump range are taken from the range of large SP pumps for professional end-users. The range has been expanded from two to three sizes, with one more to follow, and is built entirely of corrosion-resistant stainless steel, with three different material grades available, covering liquids from drinking water to seawater.

Grundfos SP pumps represent state-of-the-art hydraulic design. Built to deliver optimum efficiency during periods of high demand, the SP pumps provide low long-term costs and high operating reliability regardless of the application. SP pumps are ideal for a wide variety of applications, including groundwater supply to waterworks, irrigation and pressure boosting.

The range offers high-efficiency, improved octagonal discharge and cable guard attachment, high resistance to sand and other abrasives, reliable motors, and easy maintenance. In addition to dedicated motor protection devices, a complete monitoring and control system is available for constant optimization of the pumping system.

With an annual production of more than 16 million pumps, Grundfos is a global leader in advanced pump solutions and a trendsetter in water technology, specializing in circulator pumps for heating and air conditioning as well as centrifugal pumps for industrial applications, fire protection, water supply, wastewater and water treatment. In addition to pumps, Grundfos produces standard and submersible motors as well as state-of-the-art electronics for monitoring and controlling pumps. Since its inception in 1945, the company has flourished from one small factory in Denmark to a global corporation comprising more than 80 companies and more than 18,800 employees.
