The IRA contains a provision called the “production tax credit” (PTC) that allows taxpayers to deduct a percentage of the cost of renewable energy systems from their federal taxes, according to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

The industry needs more to hit our 2030 goals and, ultimately, 2050 NetZero goals! We need more equipment than what is built today. We need more people to join the industry and establish careers in ground source geothermal. 

If we want the industry to grow without stepping on toes or wasting time, we need to rethink how we approach engineering and execution. 

The company recently completed a successful field test of its Thermal Reach Enhancement (TRE) technology and is now operating its first commercial-scale geothermal well in California.

In a major step toward clean energy adoption, two rural school districts in Colorado have been awarded funding through a state program supporting the use of geothermal energy for heating and cooling.

With state funding now secured, Pueblo’s fire station project and other geothermal initiatives will move forward in the coming months.

As ground source heat pumps represent just 1% of current market share despite offering up to 8x greater efficiency than traditional systems, industry experts gathered to address the challenges holding back widespread adoption.
