Pfannenberg, Inc., a global leader in thermal management and signaling technologies, announced that an expanded range of its products now meet the requirements of the Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA). The designation covers select options within the company’s DTS Cooling Units, PKS Air-to-Air Heat Exchangers, and PWS Air-to-Water Heat Exchangers — all now qualified for federally funded infrastructure projects across key sectors including water and wastewater treatment, transportation, energy, and broadband.
Manufactured and assembled at Pfannenberg’s Lancaster, New York facility, the BABAA-approved lineup meets the federal threshold of more than 55% U.S.-sourced content and domestic assembly. The products are designed to provide durable, long-term thermal protection for industrial control panels containing sensitive components such as variable frequency drives and programmable logic controllers.
By maintaining stable operating temperatures, Pfannenberg’s cooling units and exchangers help reduce overheating risks and ensure reliable system performance — essential for mission-critical operations in demanding outdoor or washdown environments.
With this BABAA determination, system integrators, panel builders, and distributors now have greater access to U.S.-compliant thermal management solutions that align with federal funding requirements while supporting domestic manufacturing and economic growth.
“These products exemplify our ongoing dedication to serving American industry,” said James Wong, Director of Product Management at Pfannenberg. “By expanding our BABAA-compliant thermal management lineup, we empower infrastructure stakeholders to build with confidence, knowing they are investing in solutions engineered for durability, compliance, and long-term operational excellence right here in the United States.”
Pfannenberg says the expansion reinforces its commitment to innovation and compliance as it continues to develop technologies that meet evolving customer and regulatory demands.
