Rust Guard from A.O. Smith Water Systems combines two features into one — a steel base design and the corrosion resistance of a plastic design. Isolating the steel base from the tank reduces corrosion. Utilizing a strut to attach the base with the elbow after painting provides improved coverage in the base area and stiffens the bottom fitting.
