The eXact iDipphotometer has been selected as a winner of the 2014 R&D 100 award.
The annual awards, known as the “Oscars of invention,” recognize the top 100 most revolutionary technology products of the previous year.
A panel of industry experts and R&D Magazine editors evaluate and judge hundreds of entries every year. Industrial Test Systems Inc. invented the eXact iDip and the 52nd R&D 100 award celebrates the team for innovative design, development, testing and production.
The eXact iDip is the first handheld photometer to pair directly with smartphones and tablets. It can test over 35 water quality parameters through a four-step process. Testing location data and test results can be stored using the GPS-enabled feature of the eXact iDip application.
The smart photometer is waterproof (ingress protection 67), durable and backed by a two-year warranty. Its two-way wireless communication with Bluetoothsmart (4.0) allows for automatic software updates and customization. The meter is compliant with the EPA, ISO and DIN testing specifications.
