We had a great time at Jubilee - saw a whole lot of old friends, made some new ones and took home a lot of ideas on how to keep raising the bar that we've set as the No. 1 publication in the industry. (Look for a complete show wrap-up article next month.) Coincid-ing with all the face-to-face interaction we had at the show was the release of the final reports on our June 2004 Readership Study and our 2004 Reader Preference Study. Both are very encouraging. We strive to deliver to you the high-quality editorial package that you want, need and deserve; it's quite satisfying when you let us know that we're coming through for you. We'll share some of the results of those studies in an upcoming issue.

While we're most proud that the people in the industry we serve recognize our efforts, we also are happy to have been honored by the 2004 APEX Awards program. National Driller was nominated in four categories and took home the top prize in each one - design and layout, spread, Web site and most-improved magazine.

The latest addition to the many services National Driller offers the industry is our new LINX program that makes finding useful information that much easier. See the sidebar below for more information on this valuable service.

In Memoriam

Peter J. O'Brien, Sr. died on June 11, 2004. Peter was the founder of Boulder Water Well Service and Supply Inc. and Water Well Wholesale. Both companies continue in Boulder, Colo., under the management of his sons. Peter was loved by many and will be missed by all.
