EPA Accepting Applications for Annual Brownfields Job Training Grants
Over $6 million in funding is available with a max ceiling for $300,000 for interested organizations and government agencies, with Sept. 23 the deadline to submit for funding.
The Environmental Protection Agency announced it is accepting applications for its annual Brownfields job training grants for the fiscal year 2027 on Tuesday.
The grants allow eligible organizations, including nonprofits, to offer training and recruitment services for both unemployed or underemployed people to obtain career employment in environmental fields. The job fields include everything from brownfield remediation and revitalization to chemical safety.
Over $6 million in funding is available with a max ceiling for $300,000 for interested organizations and agencies, with the deadline to submit for funding being Sept. 23.
The EPA has a full FAQ page on their website but noted that they also periodically hold webinars to answer questions and professional calls with thought leaders in the field for both interested participants and for organizations and people already in the program.
EPA’s Brownfields Job Training Program hosts periodic technical assistance webinars and professional learning calls for program applicants and recipients.
