Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology, together with Dyno Nobel, has announced the opening of Mining Academy. In a release, the company says the program, modeled on the established Quarry Academy program, will be an educational seminar focusing on the full production stream of unit operations.
Sandvik says the new seminar is directed at underground room and pillar limestone aggregate producers.
It will feature a three-day format that includes lectures, workshops, equipment and blast simulators, and a field tour. Sandvik says the goal is to give attendees a “big picture” view of best practices, as well as insights into current and evolving technologies for the mining industry. Attendees will learn how new technologies can improve safety, boost production and save money.
Mining Academy will take place April 10-12, 2018, at Chateau on the Lake Resort and Convention Center in Branson, Mo. For more information, visit www.miningacademy.com.
