Sullair has developed a Tier-4 Final 185 portable air compressor, an expanded REMAN program and an air tool line re-launch for the ARA Rental Show, Feb. 22-25 in New Orleans. Many of the enhancements come as a direct response to customer feedback.

The Tier-4 Final 185 is the culmination of a redesign effort launched by Sullair in spring 2014. The new portable air compressor incorporates new emission controls that meet new, more stringent EPA standards. Additional enhancements, driven by a customer feedback program, have been made. They include increased fuel efficiency, more durable packaging and a variety of affordable additions that give the air compressors increased functionality.

The first stage of the redesign brings Sullair’s smaller compressors, 185 cfm, up to Tier-4 Final compliance. The company plans to bring additional compressor sizes into Tier-4 complaince in the upcoming months.

In addition to upgrading to meet emissions standards, Sullair has expanded its REMAN program. The program replaces T2/T3 portable air compressors with completely remanufactured air compressors that feature the same factory warranty as new units.

“Our customer-centric focus, combined with the investment we’ve received from our parent company — Accudyne Industries — have driven us to invest heavily into expanding our Certified REMAN program and to refocus on air tools,” says Rebecca O’Mara, senior director of business development at Sullair. “Many of the enhancements we’re bringing to market are a direct result of customer feedback, and they’ve been specifically designed for the audience that attends this show.”

Sullair fully disassembles the core of used air compressors, then inspects, cleans and services its components. All replacement parts used are official OEM and extensive testing is conducted to ensure the rebuilt air compressor meets original specifications. The program is ideal for drillers who don’t want the hassle of selling aging equipment.

Finally, Sullair is refocusing its attention on its air tools through a re-launch of its full Air Tool line in response to customer feedback. The line includes rock drills, chipping hammers, paving breakers and concrete vibrators, among other things.
