Ground engineering specialist Keller Group PLC has signed a major contract in the Caspian region.

“I am delighted to announce Keller’s first contract in the Caspian region,” CEO Justin Atkinson said. “Keller has proven its ability to succeed in very large piling contracts under challenging working conditions and we are delighted to be able to build on this experience.”

The contract involved the supply and installation of precast piles, and is worth approximately $177 million. The full deal is pending approval of the board for the client, but Keller has received notice to begin the first phase, which has a value of $25 million. Work on the first phase begins immediately and will wrap up in the first half of 2015.
