NGWREF Awards $2,000 in Scholarships
The National Ground Water Research and Educational
Foundation recently awarded a total of $2,000 in Farvolden Award scholarships
to four students for paper or poster presentations made at the 2010 NGWA Ground
Water Summit and 2010 Ground Water Protection Council Spring Meeting that took
place in Denver.
Given in honor of the late Dr. Robert Farvolden, former senior science counsel for the National Ground Water Association, the $500 scholarships are awarded based on the quality of the presentation, content (including contribution to ground water science, engineering, management or policy), and demonstrated insight on the chosen topic.
