The new Stub End Holder from McElroy Manufacturing Inc. holds stub end fittings in place during the thermoplastic pipe fusion process. The new holders are designed for 8-, 12- and 18-inch jaws or inserts. Each unit features a single adjustment point that adjusts all four jaws of the stub end holder simultaneously, while automatically self-centering to ensure that the stub end is held concentric to the pipe. Between the three new holder models, operators will have the capability to clamp fittings with outer diameters between 2.37 inches and 21.27 inches. The 12- and 18-inch designs are capable of clamping on the inner diameter of the stub end to accommodate larger fitting sizes.
