The 2008 Permian Basin International Oil Show will be held Oct. 21-23 in
Odessa, Texas. Every even-numbered year, the Permian Basin International Oil
Show Inc. brings together people from every facet of the petroleum industry.
Leaders come to Odessa from all over the world to learn about the latest
technology, see the newest equipment and transact business.
Run by oilmen, and designed to serve the oil and gas industry, the Permian
Basin International Oil Show Inc. is a non-profit venture whose sole purpose is
education. The largest inland petroleum exposition in the world today, the show
not only showcases the latest technology, but it also honors the industry’s
past. A working cable-tool rig operates daily on the show grounds during the
three-day event, and is surrounded by trucks and oilfield equipment from the
1930s, a key growth period in the Permian Basin.
