Another Big Time Was Had at the SAWD Jubilee

As per usual, there was plenty of action at the South Atlantic Well Drillers Jubilee, which took place July 29-Aug. 1, in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Next month's issue ofNational Drillerwill feature a full recap of this stellar annual event.

Almost as Good as Well Water

Illinois American Water, Champaign District, took home top honors at the American Water Works Association's (AWWA) 2nd Annual Water Taste Test, held at AWWA's recent annual conference and exposition in San Antonio, Texas. “Our operators work very hard to ensure the best quality water is delivered to our customers,” boasts Walter Voegel, the production operations superintendent, Illinois American Water. “This win is truly a testament to them and all of the employees of Illinois American Water.”

Aloha State Hosts CSDA Show

The Concrete Sawing & Drilling Association (CSDA) will hold its 35th Annual Convention at The Westin Maui Resort & Spa on Ka'anapali Beach in Maui, Hawaii. The convention will run from Feb. 22-27, 2007. “The goal of this convention is to give attendees the opportunity to share their knowledge and experiences with their peers and to learn more about the industry while enjoying themselves in a relaxing environment,” says Pat O'Brien, CSDA executive director. The convention will feature in-depth presentations, roundtables and workshops that will address many topics relevant to operating small businesses, as well as safety concerns and technical problems for concrete sawing and drilling professionals. The Empire State Water Well Drillers Association is putting on its 2006 drilling demonstration and golf outing Oct. 20-22, at Cronin's Golf Course in Warrensburg, N.Y.
