Co-host Brock Yordy has called longtime National Driller columnist Wayne Nash “the godfather of the drilling industry.” On episode 16 of Drilling In-Site, we celebrate the life of the author of our “World According to Wayne” column. Mr. Nash passed away Oct. 23, 2020 at the age of 70.

To help us wrap our heads around such a big loss to our magazine and the drilling industry, we invited Nash’s daughter Emily Rewis on the show. She spoke about growing up with such a well-known industry figure, and shared our hero’s surprising origin story.

“He came with nothing but determination and $20 and his family,” Rewis says. “I love that story.”

The hosts also tackle other topics, like the challenges newbies to the industry find, and how to overcome them, and jobsite hacks. Check out today’s episode to hear more.
