Montabert unveiled a full line of drilling attachments for compact excavators, backhoe loaders and skid-steer loaders.

The company said in a release that these attachments are “the first of their kind" in the North American market, but have a track record in trenching, utility, tieback and other applications in other parts of the world.

The Micro CPA H22/H25 single-pass drills have feed rotation of 45 degrees from vertical. Those attachment models drill holes from 1 to 1-3/4 inches and 1-1/4 to 3 inches, respectively. The H22 has a maximum hole length of 20 feet, and the H25 can reach 30 feet. Both of those models can mount on 5- to 10-ton carriers.

The Micro CPA 360 R25/R32 models feature 360-degree rotation in a single-pass attachment drill. Operators can adjust from vertical to overhead to horizontal. R25/R32 models drill 1-3/4 to 3 inch holes up to 30 feet. Those models are made for carriers in the 8- to 15-ton range.

Micro CPA attachments feature the Montabert Drifter, a system that combines rotation and percussion for efficient rock drilling. Radio remote controls also allow the drilling attachment to be operated from outside the carrier cab. The available dust collector option—using high-suction capacity or water injection—cuts jobsite debris.

Montabert says Micro CPA attachments can be changed out for other carrier attachments in minutes, and are easily moved from one jobsite to the next.
