Southeast Directional Drilling has acquired the assets of
Frontier Pipeline, a Minnesota-based horizontal directional drilling (HDD)
company. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
“This acquisition represents the first of several
anticipated capacity additions planned to meet the growing demands of our
customers,” says Steve Ugrich, CEO of Southeast Directional Drilling. “We have
great financial health and are well-capitalized, and look forward to continuing
to broaden our capabilities and influence.”
Headquartered in Casa Grande, Ariz., Southeast Directional
Drilling provides specialized underground horizontal drilling services to the
oil and gas, municipal water and telecom industries.
Frontier Pipeline was founded in 2002 by Dan Baillargeon. The
company has completed pipe installments of up to 48 inches in diameter and more
than 4,000 feet in length. Under terms of the agreement, Frontier Pipeline
equipment, other key resources and personnel will be added to Southeast
Directional Drilling. Frontier Pipeline CEO Dan Baillargeon will join the
Southeast Directional executive team.
“I’m
excited to join the Southeast team,” says Baillargeon. “I have known the people
at Southeast for many years, and have developed tremendous respect for their
skilled delivery of critical services and their commitment to customer satisfaction.
The combined resources and capacity of Southeast and Frontier will create a
powerful company within the HDD market.”
