The Driltech Marlin 6 by Sandvik Mining and Construction is a truck-mounted, top-drive water well drill. Depen-ding on equipment, it drills using mud rotary, down-the-hole hammer, or casing hammer methods. Pullback is 36,000 pounds. A typical mud rotary application is 12-inch boreholes to a 1,000-foot depth. A typical hammer drill application is 6-inch holes to a 600-foot depth, although a wide range is possible. The drill table, rotary head and casing hammer move aside for flexibility. Sandvik Mining and Construction, Card No. 215
