Ingersoll-Rand (I-R) is pleased to announce Mike Mullis of DL Mullis Well Drilling Inc., Charlotte, N.C., is the winner of a new Ingersoll-Rand Quantum Leap 60 downhole drilling hammer. Mullis won the hammer as a result of completing a customer survey at this year's South Atlantic Well Drillers Jubilee in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

“This survey was designed to help us better understand Ingersoll-Rand's water well drilling customers in the Southeast,” says I-R's Jon Torpy. “As an incentive to complete our survey, we raffled off a DHD hammer. Everyone who completed the survey was automatically entered into the raffle.”

Mike's brother Dave started DL Mullis Well Drilling in 1970. Mike has been working for the company since he was 15. Virgil Bruinekool, general manager of Noland Co., an Ingersoll-Rand drilling distributor, and Torpy presented Mike with his QL60.

DL Mullis Well Drilling, licensed and certified in North Carolina and South Carolina, is a four generation, family-owned-and-operated business specializing in air rotary drilling, residential and commercial water wells, irrigation wells, pump sales and service, water analysis, water conditioning and treatment, well chlorination, well inspection, well abandonment and community water systems.
