recent trip to Las Vegas for the National Ground Water Association Expo-my
first big industry show-left me with a great first impression of the industry
and a lot to think about.
With
the 2012 National Ground Water Association (NGWA) Groundwater Expo set for Dec.
4-7 in Las Vegas, I have decided to write a few thoughts about previous NGWA
conventions that I have attended.
There are many small, portable drilling machines
manufactured all over the world that I would classify as wannabe drills-drills
that are purchased by well-meaning nonprofit charities, church groups and
others to drill water wells in developing countries.
The
simplest method of starting a three-phase pump motor is by closing a contactor
and allowing the motor to start at full voltage, or “across-the-line,” as it is
called.
