What’s Better, Cement or Bentonite Grouts?
This week, drilling expert Brock Yordy talks about the difference between bentonite and cement grouts, and helps folks sort out which works best for their project and geology. It’s Ask Brock episode 197.
“A grout is only as good as our ability to drill that hole, effectively place that tremie, and pump the right mix ratio and positively displace the drilling fluids out of the hole,” Yordy says.
He says all those X factors govern how a grout performs over the lifespan of a well.
