What Do you Think about Running Flex Hose for Well Development?

April 22, 2021

In Ask Brock episode 106, host and drill trainer Brock Yordy discusses the pros and cons of developing water wells using flex hose, versus tried-and-true steel.

Using flex hose can definitely have time-saving advantages, Yordy says.

“But the nice thing about having steel is, I can move up and down, I can put a development tool on there, I can force into a specific zone, I can concentrate energy to open up those porosity zones, and that’s really what’s most important to me.”

Yordy also talks about the quality of well development, and the length of the development process. Click the video to hear more.
