Manufacturer SJE in late March opened a new 51,000-square-foot facility in Ashland, Ohio. The site will support all three of the company’s brands: CSI Controls, PRIMEX and SJE Rhombus.

“This is a larger facility than we had previously and we’re all on one floor, which improves communication and collaboration, and just gives us a chance to continue to grow and expand,” says President and CEO Dave Thomas. “We’re anticipating significant growth in our panel products and we do a lot of panel manufacturing here in Ashland.”

The company hosted an open house for about 60 visitors March 28. Employees offered tours and demonstrated products. Attendees included SJE business partners, contractors, and officials from the city and county — including Ashland Mayor Matt Miller.

About 65 employees work at the branch, which is located at 2221 Ford Drive in the Ashland Business Park.

“The future is bright for this location, for the employees here,” Thomas adds. “We’ve invested a lot in making this a permanent home for us.”
