National Drilling Association 2018 Convention to be Held in September

The National Drilling Association (NDA) looks to welcome more than 100 drillers, drilling managers, drilling company owners and manufacturers at their 2018 Annual Convention, September 20-21 at The Bertram Inn & Conference Center in Aurora, Ohio.

On Thursday, attendees are invited to join a morning golf outing at Boulder Creek Golf Club. That evening, a President’s BBQ dinner will be held at the hotel. The President’s Dinner will include cocktails, awards and live entertainment performed by That 80’s Band, as well as time to network with manufacturers and suppliers. Exhibitors will include Acker Drill, Allegheny Instruments, Inc., AMS, Inc., Baroid IDP, Boart Longyear, Central Mine Equipment Co., Delta Pump & Systems, Inc., Diedrich Drill, East West Drilling, Inc., Eijkelkamp SonicSampDrill, Fordia, GEFCO, Geoprobe Systems, Global Drilling Suppliers, Inc., Hoffman Diamond Products, Hole Products, Mobile Drill Intl, National Driller, Northeast Geotechnical Supply, PDS, Penndrill Manufacturing, SIMCO Drilling Equipment, Terra Sonic International LLC, Texcel, Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group, WorldWide Drilling Resource and Wyo-Ben, Inc.

Outdoor static displays will be available for viewing throughout the day on Friday, alongside the presentations, which include: Chilean Miners Rescue – When Failure is Not an Option, presented by Jeff Hart, operations manager, Layne Christensen Co.; Case Study – Expansion Lock and Dam Project, presented by Dennis Mitchell, Clint Ervin and Adam Thompson, American Engineers; Environmental Drilling, presented by Erin Fanning, Waste Management; Safety: When it Blows Apart, presented by Greg Safran, Safe T Integration; Environmental Innovations presented by Dan Schneider, Terracon; New Down-Hole Tools to Improve Core Drilling Efficiency, presented by Robert Petrie, PhD, PE, Baroid IDP. Continuing Education Credits will be available for those attending the presentations.

Following the Convention, the Buckeye Chapter of the NDA will be holding a chapter meeting.
