Safety Issues to Be Addressed
An international drilling safety conference is scheduled for July 25-26 at Sir
Sandford Fleming College in Lindsay, Ontario. The meeting’s goal is to
establish global awareness on issues such as drill string guarding, drilling
safety practices and drilling educational institutions; increase communication
and networking opportunities; and promote drilling educational resources around
the world.
Dan Carrocci of Determination Drilling & Soil Investigations Inc. says, “This is not your typical conference in the sense that no one will try to sell you anything but safety. It is your opportunity to play an integral role in establishing minimum safety requirements on drilling equipment around the world.”
