The Society of Chemical Industry (SCI) has announced that its SCI Separation Science and Technology Group is set to host IEX 2008 from July 9-11, 2008, at the University of Cambridge’s Fitzwilliam College in Cambridge, United Kingdom.

The SCI IEX Conference, which was first held in 1954, is an opportunity for ion exchange manufacturing and service companies, end users and researchers to present papers on the theory and practice of ion exchange and adsorbents, and to discuss the industry’s contribution to current practice and future industrial developments.

Intensive technical training on the use of ion exchange in water treatment is scheduled to be held July 6-8, 2008.

A call for papers has been announced and authors wishing to present at the conference should send a 300-word abstract via e-mail to the SCI Conference Department by Sept. 30.
