The Soo~Soft water treatment system, manufactured by Pro-Mrkt Corp., softens water without the use of salt. Instead of removing the calcium from water, the system converts it to a softer form called calcium aragonite, microscopic particles that help make water more solvent as well as dissolve and prevent scale buildup. Suitable for use with private water systems, the unit is electronic and requires no chemicals or maintenance. Installation, said to be simple, reportedly can be done in 20 minutes or less, and requires no break in piping.
