Groundwater Guardians gathered from across the country to be recognized at the 2000 Groundwater Foundation Annual Fall Conference "Asking The Right Questions: Evaluating The Impact of Groundwater Education," Nov. 13-15 at the Lied Conference Center in Nebraska City, NE. At the event 197 communities, organizations, and businesses were designated as Groundwater Guardians for the 2000 program year. Thirteen national partners were also designated. The Groundwater Guardians represent 36 states and two Canadian provinces.
