TEREX Reedrill, recently signed a joint venture agreement with Construcciones Mecanicas LLamada (LLamada) of Barcelona, Spain, to develop, manufacture, market and sell foundation auger drills in North America. These drills will be marketed under the Terex Reedrill/LLamada name. As part of the joint venture, future plans are to manufacture these drill products for the North American market at TEREX Reedrill's Denison, Texas, plant.

The two companies are working together in development of a complete range of auger drill products for the North American construction industry. The first product to be developed through this joint effort is the Model CKR120. Furthering the scope of their joint venture effort, TEREX Reedrill and LLamada are working together in the development of other models, designed specifically to meet the unique requirements of drilling in North America.

According to Alan Walker, president of TEREX Reedrill, “Our partnering with LLamada provides an outstanding opportunity for both companies. Most importantly, it offers our North American customers a unique package of products and services. Based on bringing the unique capabilities of Llamada and TEREX Reedrill together, we can now offer the market a broader range of advanced auger drill designs, coupled with our auger tooling products and customer support.”

Juan Herrero, president of LLamada is equally as enthusiastic. “We see this partnership as providing the North American market with outstanding auger technology that is supported in a way that ensures the success of all involved - the customer, TEREX Reedrill, and ourselves.”
