Norma Wortman, executive director of the Louisiana Ground Water Association, steps down from her post.

From the board members of the Louisiana Ground Water Association:
“We are happy and sad to announce that Norma Wortman is retiring as executive director of the association. She has been executive director since 1990. Through the years, she has worked with sustained and enthusiastic action. She is known throughout the Louisiana ground water industry and throughout the southern United States and the national ground water industry. She has done her work with unflagging vitality. Her retirement will be at the end of January 2006. We will miss her, however, we will continue to talk with her and seek her wisdom and advice. Godspeed to you, Norma.”
Billy Prochaska, current association president, will succeed Wortman as executive director.
