“You Can’t Do Geothermal Here,” said no driller ever …

I hope by now everyone has heard about the use of horizontal drilling in the oil and gas industry.

In my last column I wrote that, on occasion, painted steel bladder tanks will rust from the outside in.

By the year 2020, the world population will be 7.5 billion people.

Over the past few years, since I’ve been working out of the Northern Rockies in the oilfield, running fishing tools, a lot of my friends have asked me what, exactly, do I do.

I would like to dedicate this column to three individuals who I mention by first name only, as well as to their families.

As I said in my last column, after years, indeed, of trying to keep air in pressure tanks, our industry figured out that the air was being eaten by the water.
