Oilfield servicer Danos has announced completion of a project to fabricate and install a vent boom for Shell Pipeline Company LP. The newly installed vent boom stands approximately 35 feet tall and replaces an existing vent tower on a Gulf of Mexico offshore facility.

"We are immensely proud of our team's dedication and expertise in delivering exceptional results,” says CEO Paul Danos. “This successful job completion underscores our dedication to excellence and reaffirms commitment to our company purpose of solving big challenges for our customers. We look forward to a continued partnership with Shell Pipeline.”

The company says in a release that employees representing several Danos service lines including fabrication, construction, coatings, scaffolding and instrumentation and electrical worked on the project. The team completed fabrication in the company’s Larose shop in mid-September and then shipped the structure offshore for construction and installation, which was finished in late October.
