Authentic Drilling Sells to Specialty Drilling Holding Company

Colorado-based Authentic Drilling Inc. has announce its sale to Specialty Drilling Holding Company LLC, a portfolio company of Kalbot Holding Company LLC. The transaction, advised by mergers and acquisitions firm Generational Equity, closed Aug. 31, 2023.
Authentic Drilling offers geotechnical, environmental, exploration and water well drilling services across the Western United States. Markets span water, renewable energy, mining exploration, as well as land, water, and over-water infrastructure. In a release, Authentic says the company prides itself on difficult-access drilling capabilities, workforce skill and experience, and having the region’s newest and most diversified fleet of state-of-the-art drilling and support equipment.
Kalbot Holding Company is a private investment firm specializing in lower- and middle-market industrial businesses, with a primary focus on the environmental and industrial services sectors. Specialty Drilling Holding Company was formed by Kalbot in 2022 to invest in Western U.S.-based companies that offer specialized drilling and related services for geotechnical, environmental and other applications. Specialty Drilling Holding Company focuses primarily on the development, maintenance, repair and rehabilitation of critical land, water, over-water and subsurface infrastructure.
