Should I Drill My Own Water Well?

February 2, 2023

Drilling a water well can’t be that hard, right? It’s a self-taught, tribal industry drilling expert Brock Yordy always says, but trying to install a well yourself because you didn’t like a professional contractor’s quote may not be the wise move. Think about how fundamental water is for your family, and then get a few more quotes from qualified professionals to install that well and make sure it provides safe water. It’s Ask Brock episode 198.

“We are drilling a potable water well that has to be good and safe for your family for years and years and years,” Yordy says.

Beyond knowing your family has the best water, a professional installation gives you peace of mind that the aquifer providing that water is protected from surface pathogens.
