Henry ‘Hank’ Baski Receives NGWA’s Life Member Award
Honored for Groundwater Equipment Engineering
The National Ground Water Association (NGWA) has granted a Life Member Award to Henry “Hank” Baski, president of Baski Inc. in Englewood, Colo.
He is being honored for his special service in furthering the groundwater industry and NGWA. He will receive the award in December at the annual NGWA Groundwater Expo in Las Vegas.
Baski’s company designs and manufactures groundwater equipment including inflatable packers, pitless units, downhole valves for both aquifer storage and recovery, and aquifer thermal energy storage. He holds seven patents and is still developing new products.
He learned water well drilling growing up in the family business in Minnesota, earned a bachelor’s degree in geophysics from the University of Minnesota, continued in the drilling business in Pueblo, Colo., for a few years, and then started a groundwater hydrology career with a Denver consulting firm. While there, he started a small part-time business manufacturing groundwater equipment.
One of Baski’s distinctions is serving as the 2004 NGWREF William A. McEllhiney Distinguished Lecturer in Water Well Technology presenting “Ground Water: Fallacies and Forecasts.”
