Registration
now is open for the ADSC EXPO 2012, the largest drilling conference in the
world, the Association of Drilled Shaft Contractors and International
Association of Foundation Drilling (ADSC-IAFD) has announced. The event,
scheduled for March 14-17, 2012 at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country
Resort & Spa in San Antonio,
brings together leading engineers, contractors and equipment suppliers for an
exclusive look at emerging trends and rapidly evolving technology in the
geo-industry.
“The EXPO
takes place once every three years and is a critical portal into the future,”
says ADSC president, Tom Witherspoon. More than 2,000 industry leaders from 40
countries are expected to attend. “The 2012 conference is particularly
important given the profound changes our community is undergoing,” says
Witherspoon.
The keynote
speaker will be Alberto Alemán Zubieta, CEO of the Panama Canal Authority, the
agency that manages the Panama Canal, and a
recipient of numerous national and international awards for his contributions
to the world maritime industry. Zubieta will deliver a technical case history
on The Panama Canal Expansion. Several ADSC-IAFD members worked on various
stages of the project.
Zubieta
joins a lineup of industry experts available for educational and professional
development sessions. In addition, the ADSC EXPO will provide a platform for
interaction among decision-making contractors, engineers and manufacturers
through multiple networking receptions and more than 30 hours of exhibit time.
