Registration now is open for the ADSC EXPO 2012, the largest drilling conference in the world, the Association of Drilled Shaft Contractors and International Association of Foundation Drilling (ADSC-IAFD) has announced. The event, scheduled for March 14-17, 2012 at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa in San Antonio, brings together leading engineers, contractors and equipment suppliers for an exclusive look at emerging trends and rapidly evolving technology in the geo-industry.

“The EXPO takes place once every three years and is a critical portal into the future,” says ADSC president, Tom Witherspoon. More than 2,000 industry leaders from 40 countries are expected to attend. “The 2012 conference is particularly important given the profound changes our community is undergoing,” says Witherspoon.

The keynote speaker will be Alberto Alemán Zubieta, CEO of the Panama Canal Authority, the agency that manages the Panama Canal, and a recipient of numerous national and international awards for his contributions to the world maritime industry. Zubieta will deliver a technical case history on The Panama Canal Expansion. Several ADSC-IAFD members worked on various stages of the project.

Zubieta joins a lineup of industry experts available for educational and professional development sessions. In addition, the ADSC EXPO will provide a platform for interaction among decision-making contractors, engineers and manufacturers through multiple networking receptions and more than 30 hours of exhibit time.
