Injunction Against Former Employee
PilePro LLC, Austin, Texas, has disclosed that a Texas state court issued a preliminary
injunction preventing a former employee from disclosing its confidential and
proprietary information. A Travis County District Court judge enjoined Humphrey
Chang, the company's former chief financial officer, and a current manager of
SteelWall GmbH, from transferring or disclosing PilePro's confidential
information and trade secrets.
In addition to finding that Chang unlawfully possessed confidential information about PilePro's business operations, the Travis County District Court ruled that the injunction was necessary because Chang's continued communications with companies and individuals in the sheet piling industry increased the risk that Chang would unlawfully disclose that information to PilePro's competitors.
