Subsurface Investigation Course
It's not too late to register for the Federal Highway Administration
(FHWA) course, “Subsurface Investigation Qualification,” offered by the
National Drilling Association at the Cherry Valley Lodge in Newark, Ohio
(outside Columbus), Oct. 7-9. This course is intended for drillers, drilling
inspectors, engineers, geologists and technicians involved in the field data
collection and quality assurance of subsurface investigations. FHWA is
recommending that state DOTs adopt this qualification.
Registration fees are $450 for members, and $550 for non-members. All class attendees are welcome to sit in on the afternoon talks and meet with industry representatives after the exam on Thursday, Oct. 9, at the NDA 2008 Convention, also being held at Cherry Valley Lodge. In addition, a special day rate has been arranged for class attendees to attend the convention outdoor demonstrations on Friday, Oct. 10, from 7 a.m. to noon, for only $25.
