The annual Spring Expo put on by the New England Water Well Association took place Mar. 28-29 in Marlborough, Mass., and once again, a lot was accomplished in relatively short order.

The two-hour opening-night trade show preview got the proceedings started off in style, and that, per usual, was followed by the always-a-good-time evening gala at the headquarters hotel.

The second day of the show saw the exhibit hall open at 8 a.m. Special thanks to D&S Pump & Supply for providing the much-need and well-appreciated coffee and pastries. Over the course of the entire event, the trade-show floor was open to visitors a total of nine hours – plenty of time to take in the latest available products and services, and trade thoughts and ideas with acquaintances both old and new.

A top-tier educational program included seminars addressing such important issues as safety, lubricants, geothermal well drilling and grouting, constant-pressure valves and water well troubleshooting. Also, the National Ground Water Association offered certification exams, as well as its popular pump cost calculator seminar.

Set aside Mar. 27-28, 2009, when New England’s drillers and water professionals will reconvene in Marlborough and continue to move the industry forward.
