The Ultima IR Gas Monitor from the Mine Safety Appliance Company (MSA) Instrument Division is a compact, highly reliable combustible gas monitor. It is based on proven infrared sensing technology. The unique design provides the IR sensor in a small, explosion-proof module fully compatible with the widely used Ultima sensor/transmitter platform. The small gas diffusion volume is designed to provide quick response speed response, and maximum protection from the harsh environmental conditions. Its technology is immune to the poisoning effects of certain compounds and it is not affected by oxygen-deficient conditions.
