At the 13th annual Berkeley Springs International Water Taste, the public water in Montpelier, Ohio, was judged to be the world’s best.

Eight countries, 23 states and the District of Columbia were represented at the competition. Finishing just behind Montpelier in the municipal category were MWD Southern California; Desert Hot Springs, Calif.; Canora, Saskatchean; and Kincheloe, Mich.

In the non-carbonated bottled water category, the top five finishers were Mountain Valley Spring Water, Hot Springs, Ark.; Whispering Springs, Pierceton, Ind.; Avits Artesian Springs, Grayling, Mich.; Whistler Water Pure Glacial Spring Water, Burnaby, B.C.; and Good Hydration, Grafton, Ont.
