The Aries division of ResinTech Inc., West Berlin, N.J., announces that it has acquired American Filterworks (AFW) of Los Angeles. The companies products will be integrated into the Aries product line and the entire division will be renamed Aries Filterworks. David Nasrin, former president of AFW, joins Aries as director of sales.

Jeffrey Gottlieb, chief financial officer of ResinTech says, “This acquisition establishes a west coast manufacturing base for the Aries cartridge product line and greatly expands our custom design capabilities. Also, we are excited about the industry expertise and application knowledge that David Nasrin brings to Aries.”

American FilterWorks was founded in 1992 and offers four series of media cartridges to meet a wide range of filtration needs. Capabilities include a complete line of replacement cartridges, private label programs, custom injection molding, custom cartridge design and turn-key assembly options.

ResinTech will combine American Filterworks operations into its existing facility in Los Angeles. The acquisition will further expand ResinTech's west coast presence and offer a wider range of products and services to it existing customer base.

Aries Filterworks designs, produces and markets cartridges, water systems and related equipment for commercial, residential and industrial applications. ResinTech is a manufacturer/supplier of ion exchange resins and activated carbon to the water and wastewater marketplace.
