Vermont recently proposed changes to its water supply rules that call for lowering the amount of arsenic allowable in drinking water. The state is proposing lowering the standard to allow up to 10 ppb, rather than the 50 ppb that is now the federal standard. The state is conducting some informational meetings on the issue and will also be accepting comments by mail.
