Kermit W. Janssen, of Valley Forge, PA, will be recognized for a lifetime of contributions to the groundwater industry when he receives the 2000 Manufacturers Special Recognition Award from the National Ground Water Association, Dec. 13 in Las Vegas.
Janssen retired from CertainTeed Corp. in 1997 after working as International Sales Manager and as Marketing Manager for Well Products for the company.
He was responsible for many advancements in PVC well casing technology, including the development of 6-1/4 and 6-1/8 inch products which are now the standard in much of the country, and for twist-lock joints, and many other PVC innovations.
