Mount Sopris Instruments has introduced their MSI-360 Digital Camera. The company calls the camera a “first of its kind in our industry” because operators can use it on standard geophysical wireline similar to other groundwater tools such as resistivity, caliper, fluid conductivity/temperature, and natural gamma. The fully digital camera works down to 2,000 meters (6,562 feet), displaying high-resolution downhole and side-view video in real-time at the surface.
The company says the control unit’s built-in Wi-Fi or Ethernet connectivity allows operators and customers to see video displayed in an internet browser on a laptop, tablet or phone. Mount Sopris calls the process of collecting video with the camera easy and seamless.
